actually this feature (the ability to style part of the classification
categories at the same time, after applying the unique value symbology)
was added just a few months ago in the qgis symbology and I found it
pretty useful. I would like to see the same option to style group of
categories also available in the new symbology, but obviously this is
just my opinion ;)
