Yes it is unfair, but Giuseppe reopened this question himself.
Certainly, I don't say what he has to do and it is impossible to force
anybody in OS project to do anything what he does not want to do. I
just wanted to point out, that I see the DB Manager as a core
component which would be probably better (or its components) to have
in C++.

A good query builder would be certainly reusable.
