Yes the goal would be to use it across the board anywhere this kind of data
binding happens, so labelling or symbology. I only used labelling for an
example because I had that ready for a couple of months ago.

Yeah that is the downside, that it would require a little more and smarter
code, but I think the user experience would be better. Having two places
to define the same property is a bit confusing, especially if you set the
property in the data define area but then can't understand why the setting
you have in the normal section isn't working when you change it.
Just some of my thoughts anyway.
