[Qgis-developer] How to log qgis server messages?

Hi 

I'm trying to log qgis server messages. According to this thread [1] you only have to create a "qgis_wms_server.log" into the directory of the fcgi executable. 
Does it still work the same way since my log file stays empty even with Debug build type?
