[Qgis-developer] Windows install now has .1 in install path?

Hi,
Is this supposed to stay like this? I think that people will be really
puzzled and complain about this. And why would a common user want to keep
2.16.0 and 2.16.1 and so on...?
It seems that it affects also 2.14 (http://hub.qgis.org/issues/15387)
