[Qgis-developer] Default Tiled XYZ servers

Hi all,
during several trainings I found that Tiled XYZ servers are difficult to
set up for the average user:
* not easy to finx the URL of a server
* not easy to copy/paste it (e.g. osm wiki adds extra characters)
* the dialog to add it is different from that of WMS/WFS/WCS: first the
address, then the name, instead of a single dialog for name and URL
* apparently impossible to edit an URL once added (WMS etc. can be).
As discussed previously, adding default servers would help. I
acknowledge the fact that adding it would put an huge load on the public
server, but could we as some of them whether thay agree in adding it?
Alternatively, could we ask QGIS users and donors whether they could
fund our own server?
