[QGIS-Developer] Test button in rule based styling returns different number of features between gdal/calculating/rendering

It looks like there are different 'paths' in which expressions are solved.

Somebody can tell if this should be best solved in
- QGIS (to create a better 'sql' string)
- GDAL (fix pickyness with brackets?)
