I don't think there is a strong need for QGIS (Desktop), Centos and RH are
mainly used as servers, but everything that can enable a FOSS GIS
environment is beneficial to QGIS and is very well done. Obviously
RH/Centos is an excellent home for QGIS Server & friends.

If I may add something about this, I suggest to target an SDI
infrastructure, including GeoNode or something of the like, oriented
towards a geographic topic not only to show single choropletic layers.
