[QGIS-Developer] $scale vs @map_scale - QGIS v2 vs v3

Hi Matthias,

Yes - I will do the find and replace in text editor.

But what is the reason that behaviour was changed?

Is there a technical reason to do this change?

For the users such changes are always a bit annoying of course ... but
if there is a technical reason (and I understand why this was changed),
then I feel a bit better when I do all this find and replace work ;-)
