[QGIS-Developer] PKI Authentication for Rest Service in Processing Script

Is there an example on how to retrieve data from a rest service using PKI
authentication in a processing script where the rest service is returning a
vector feature in GeoJson format? I see examples for WFS and WMS services
using QgsDataSourceUri(), but that does not seem to work for rest services.
