[QGIS-Developer] PostgreSQL 12 not supported?

Hi all,
apparently PostgreSQL 12 is not supported in current QGIS:
https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/issues/32321
Has anyone had a look to this? Does it imply a deep intervention in the
provider, or it can be fixed with minor adjustments?
