[QGIS-Developer] Use PyQGIS to change a group of selected vertices (vertex tool)

Hi,

Having selected a couple of vertices using the Vertex Tool, how can I have
access to the selected Vertex using PyQGIS, and eventually change them?

I see that there is a vertex iterator, but I can't seem to understand how
to get to it.

Use case: I have 3D lines with some problems in the Z values. I wanted to
retrieve the nodes, change the z values and update them in the feature
geometry.
