[QGIS-Developer] Temporal Controller: Selection by Expression over non filtered data?

Hi Devs,

Having a Temporal controlled dataset, I created a selection (using an expression) in one of the timeframes and created a (zero sized) buffer around it. Strange thing: the buffer was bigger then my (visible) selection...

Disabling the Temporal controller it thus appeared that the 'selection by expression' apparently does NOT take the temporal controller into account, which I think is intuitively it should?

IF you create a FILTER, and then do a selection, when you clear the filter, the selection is cleared: so different behaviour then controller. 

FYI my usecase: we have these in time modelled clouds (with potentially dangerous chemicals in it) and want to see (on a certain timeframe) where the modelled values exceed certain health limits...

Should I create an issue?
