Probably we should just skip the flags and display only the language?
I am not sure about it.
At times it were introduced it seemed to be a "nice to have" gadget.

For parts of countries (with their own flags) like spain -> catalan
the decision was easy but for languages called after a country and a
complete different flag - I am still not sure about it. Maybe this is
a case for PSC?
Probably it is enough to write the language name in the list in the
languages letters (like it is done already) and skip flags - but
personally I still like the flags as it makes it easier to recognise
the country.

We could also do something like this:

Or we just use the ROC Taiwan flag.
Like Raymond said.. It should be a decision of the language
coordinator as he knows the situation best.
And I dont think we raise political conflicts here - but probably
scare away some potential users.

The current coordinator is "nungyao" on transifex.
As I dont know if he is following the discussion I will contact him on
transifex - If there is no respond within the typical 2 weeks I'd just
suggest to make Dennis also a coordinator as he seems to be interested
and active in translating.

But I am open for discussing it - or give the case to the PSC.
