[Qgis-user] Attribute Join problem in PostgreSQL

Hi

I have imported a shape file into QGis and then did attribute join (under 
menu Vector>Data Management Tools>Join Attribute) to add some additional 
attributes and it worked perfectly. I then imported the same shape file 
into PostgreSQL/PostGis using SPIT plugin in QGis and then tried to do 
attribute join folloeing same procedure - it did not work. It seems that 
Join Attribute will not work if the data is in PostgreSQL/PostGIS DBMS. 
Any suggestion?
