According the the website

MapServer for Windows - MS4W

Welcome to MS4W, the no fuss installer for setting up MapServer on Microsoft
Windows platforms. The purpose of this package is to allow all levels of
MapServer users to quickly install a working environment for MapServer
development on Windows. It is also an environment for packaging and
distributing MapServer applications.

....

What and why would i need to set up a MapServer?

I just want to convert the .gml file into the same projection as the canvec
.shp files and most other .shp files
I dont have a "Apache Server"

.... but anyway, it appears that

c:
cd\
cd\try5-gdal
mkdir shp
ogr2ogr shp NL_BS/NL_BS.gml

takes forever to process... but no errors.
the file "NL_BS.gml" and the file "NL_BS.xsd" needs to be in a sub folder
called "NL_BS"

The files DO actually convert :) and puts a bunch of .shp files in the
'shp' directory :)

"MapServer" or "MS4W" is not needed
....and the map projection is still wrong.
But since ive now messed up the 'default projection' I'll need to remove
Qgis program, and re-install it.

Thanks :)
Thats one step closer i think

cheers,
sam
