[Qgis-user] known incompatibilty between 1.7.4 - 1.8 rc1?

Hello,
I have a big qgis project that is working fine on MacOS with qgis 1.7.4-4 and qgis 1.9.
It's working fine as server project on Ubuntu 10.04 with qgis 1.7.4.

But trying to open in in qgis 1.8.0 rc1 on ubuntu 10.04 an error message is shown: "std::bad_alloc"!

Is there a known incompatibility between 1.7.4 - 1.8 rc1?
This is the only projects that produces an error. The others, much simpler, are working fine.
