[Qgis-user] Export Labels as Point Shapefile

Hi All.

I asked about this on 
http://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/24670/is-there-a-way-to-export-labels-in-qgis
StackExchange   previously and didn't receive much response. Does anyone
know if there's a way to export v2 labeling engine labels as a shapefile?
I'm working with a program that doesn't have smart labeling capabilities and
was hoping to 'borrow' the QGIS engine to save me some time. Any solutions
would be appreciated.
