[Qgis-user] Large raster datasets in 2.0

Hi list,
We have some large raster datasets that are mosaiced into a single
product. QGIS 1.7 (and I think 1.8) could access these in JP2 or ECW, but
2.0 doesn't seem to be able to (or maybe that's a limitation of the
weeklies and the final thing will be compiled with it?).

Due to the size of the rasters combined with a bug in GDAL that causes it
to take literally a month to process the overviews for super-large rasters
(about 450,000 * 440,000), we can't create them as a GeoTIFF.

So the question - how do I use super-large rasters as a single contiguous
dataset in QGIS 2?

Thanks,
Jonathan
