On 2.0.1 all of those entries (properties, save as etc) are in the
layers menu. http://s8.postimg.org/3nlf392d1/layer_menu.gif

Are you using an older version?

Cheers

Hi Thomas,

I've discovered that one is removable separately as it is a plugin. Same
with the SQL Anywhere one.

But the other ones aren't disappearing correctly either. I.e. the
postgis elephant (although that one does stay turned off when I restart
QGIS) or WCS etc. So none of them are working for me. :-S

Also looking at it, I note that there are many more items on the
customisation menu than there are on the menu itself. I.e. "properties"
and "save as".

Is that because it's shared with the layers panel as well?

Thanks,

Jonathan

Hi Jonathan

It seems to be Oracle Raster in particular that can't be removed. Other
entries in the mLayerMenu work fine for me (restart needed).

Is that the same for you?

Cheers

Hi List,

Does menu customisation work? As in Settings-> Customisation?

I've tried several times now to customise menus (i.e., by removing the
Oracle Raster from the "mLayerMenu"), but nothing happens. So I try
restarting QGIS, but then the next time it opens the item is checked
again.

Am I doing something wrong?

Also, where are these changes saved? The registry (this is Windows)?

Thanks,

Jonathan
