Slightly delayed reply. It may be worth reporting this as a bug on the QGIS tracker - http://hub.qgis.org/ . It seems there are some issues from having integrated WMS and WTMS into the same dialog.

It says WMS not WMTS and GetMap  not GetTile

It seems to be the wrong request for getting a tile. Is there perhaps a method to force QGIS to ask for a Tileservice insted of WMS ?
