[Qgis-user] problems with dbf encoding in Chugiak

I've also noticed problems with shapefile encodings, though it seemed random.  Maybe it's just a general problem of QGIS ignoring the cpg file.  To work around it, set the encoding in the layer properties after adding it to QGIS.
