[Qgis-user] Fw: authentication when using 'Import Vector into PostGIS database (available connections)'

If you would use SPIT (in the Database menu), then you could create a connection to your PostGIS-DB. In the dialog you have to provide your user name (password). Click the New or Neu button (depending on the language of your QGIS installation) in order to create the connection you need. Then you should be able to upload your vector layers.

 anyway if I don't use the GDAL algorithm for the task but the QGIS
 Algorithm 'Import into PostGIS' the import works fine...
 Sorry, I just used 'postgresql start'. How can I initialize a valid
 connection between QGIS and PostGIS as a first step? The GDAL algorithm
 seems to be complicated in use from processing. And I will have to
 describe all this information in the user manual ...)-:
