[Qgis-user] Easy way to highlight features?

Hello,

I have to make a series of maps (Europe) with every map another polygon (country) highlighted. Is there an easy ay to do this?
Now I added a property “highlight” , and for every version, I
-open the property table
-select the polygon to highlight
- set the “highlight”proper to “1”
- save the layer
- update the print composer
- export the map 

anyone knows a shower way that does not involve opening-editing-saving the layer?
