Greetings,
I admin a small research group and our servers are running Scientific
Linux 6 (fully updated). We have had QGIS 1.8.0-16 installed for a while
from the EPEL repo. I really don't know much about QGIS except that I
have users that frequently utilize it.
One of my users found a bug in a plugin he uses and when he inquired
about it, he was told it was fixed in the latest 2 stable branch. He
asked me to update.
http://www.qgis.org/en/site/forusers/alldownloads.html#linux
I found the download page and was pleased to see there was a repo for
RHEL 6 and QGIS stable, however, when I attempted to use the
fedora.vitu.ch/EL/qgis.repo , I only got errors. To me it looks like
that whole site is down.
I went looking for information on building my own RPM but what I found
is quite old.
Will someone please point me to either a working repo for QGIS 2.0 for
RHEL6 based OS's, or point me to updated documentation where I can build
my own RPM? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
