Dear list,
I'm encountering problems using the DEMto3D (version 2.3.1) plugin on QGIS "Wien" (on Windows XP) with a simple DEM , the reference layer DEM raster "elev_ned_30m" (source: http://grass.osgeo.org/sampledata/north_carolina/nc_rast_geotiff.zip).
The raster layer is 4500 x 5000 pixels (xy/unprojected, z values between 55 to 150 (metres)). For some reason DEMto3D/QGIS crash in the most cases when trying to derive a STL. For DEMto3D parameters, spacing values were tried between 0.2mm - 10mm and also scales between 1.000.000 and 100.000. Both proper runs and crashes lead to empty STL output which contains only two lines: "solid model" "endsolid model".
Any advice on how to get this to work would be much appreciated.
Peter
