You have to add some more information to make the problem understandable:

What source CRS does your data have?
Did you assign the custom projection, or reprojected the data to it?
What extent does your data have in the Custom CRS?
Why can't you use EPSG:27700?
Can you give sample coordinates of what you got and what you want to get?
