Hi Sebastian

If you open the raster layer properties you can change the resampling method on the Style tab from nearest neighbour / nearest neighbour to bilinear / average. That should smooth out the image for you.

Cheers

Ross

Subject: [Qgis-user] Smoothing elevation data?

Dear group,

another question: I am using a discrete color ramp on a topographic file, but I would like it to be smoother. Is there an algorithm you could apply to make it look better? See zoomed in example attached.

Thank you!

Sebastian.
