[Qgis-user] crs

Hi,

I see that Richard has responded correctly.  I will just add that dxf files do not really have a CRS.  You just need to know it!  Usually, the coordinates are in meters or feet and correspond to a local CRS (ex UTM zone 18N).  You may have to do some trial and error in order to find the original CRS.  When you find that, saving it as a shape file as Richard mentioned, and then specifying the crs, is a good way to go.
