[Qgis-user] trouble accessing New York City basemap

Hi there,

I had a look and the page on https://maps.nyc.gov/tiles/#qgis you
referenced contained a link in the ArcGIS instructions with a WMTS service
connection.

I simply added the URL https://maps.nyc.gov/wmts/1.0.0/ as a new WMTS
service in the QGIS browser and it seemed to work for me. I posted a
screenshot to https://imgur.com/a/IwLC3Rn

Just right click on the "WMS/WMTS" section in the browser and that address
as the connection URL, then drag the imagery from whatever year/ layer you
want onto the canvas.

Hope that solves it for you.

Regards
