Hi Krishna,

 

If you right click on the layer and “zoom to layer” does it appear?

 

Might I also suggest that you upgrade to the latest Long Term Release 3.40.5 and see if that fixes things.

Hi Bernie,

 

Yes, I added the 'Quick Map Services plugin' from Plugins section in QGIS through QGIS Official Plugin Repository. I choose Google Hybrid or OSM as my basemap. Google Maps layer is checked in the Layers section. Both the Project CRS and Layer CRS are in EPSG 3857. But still it's a blank screen. Don't know what to do.

A project has layers that are either loaded locally from file based sources, or remotely from some type of server (e.g. WMTS).
