I see a considerable number of references that turn up on a search for
"Kriging safe bearing capacity"; for example this

Looking in the other direction "qgis kriging interpolation", lots of
references about how to perform kriging, for example this course

As always it's most important to recognize that this is interpolation,
which requires assumptions of the nature of the distribution of properties
of the physical material being analyzed; which a decently suspicious
engineer should consider as "unfounded" unless they have evidence to the
contrary.
