Hi Jo,

Great to have you on board and good to hear about the interest from the
GeoNework community.

For next steps:

* Thanks for adding your name to:
https://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Season_of_Docs_Ideas_2019#Key_roles_sought

* I'd suggest it would help our proposal to have at least one other
person from GeoNetwork community put their name forward to act as a
mentor. (Google is asking for at least 2 mentors per senior writer
provided. Mentors can be technical rather than writers).

* With regards to documentation ideas for GeoNetwork, we will need to
write them down in a public location (ie here:
https://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Season_of_Docs_Ideas_2019#Ideas ) I think we
can build these ideas into something compelling, but I think they need
to be defined more clearly if we are to be taken seriously. Item 3
sounds the most compelling. Tutorials are a relatively difficult writing
concept, and can also be addressed relatively autonomously. It can also
be done in line with a template which we develop in conjunction with
QGIS and OSGeoLive. Is someone in a position to explain the gap between
what is currently in place and what is needed for GeoNetwork?

Item 2) "Fix incomplete docs" could be a task, but it needs to be
quantified and described.

Item 1) "Review pull requests" sounds quite unstructured and wouldn't be
making best use of the time of a Senior Technical Writer. It would also
be difficult to qualify whether the writer has completed their tasks or
done a good job.

Warm regards, Cameron
