Greetings,
I've recently had inquiry to help with suitable software to track land
enclosure which has had some recent news coverage.
Anyone know similar attempts already underway pertaining to Dartmoor?
- SlowWays has been pointed out as a place to look for further info but
haven't found relevant info, yet.
Recognising that digital commons cannot draw all parallels with the down
to earth commons (related to land), I am also keen to find detailed
write ups and comments.

'Dartmoor wild camping agreement reached; 19 Jan 2023'
"[...]
Dartmoor was the only area of England and Wales where under a local law
there had been an assumed right to wild camp without the landowner's
permission.
However a High Court judge ruled last week that this was legally wrong
and permission was needed.
[...]
According to Dartmoor National Park, the agreement between landowners
will come into force at 17:00 when it publishes a new map on its
website.
[...]"
-- National Parks have apparently mounted or is in the process of
mounting an appeal to the High Courts since this 19 Jan 2023 news story
- again, detailed info is hard to come by.
-- Informed information out there points out, in recent times the
commons [through peculiar definitions of commoners and management
authority] and enclosures are upside down in Dartmoor, as land
ownership money speaks over right to enjoy land for all.
Regards,
Ramanan
