[Zoo-discuss] Ubuntu with ZOO Virtual Image

Hi Venka, Daniel,

The way proposed by Daniel is I think the best, to create a ZOO account
in Launchpad and create the packages there. Then we submit a pull
request to UbuntuGIS in order to publish the binaries to a wider
audience. This is the way I used for pycsw too.

The dependencies issue is a bit of a trouble. I had to create an
alternative package for libcgic in openSUSE, while this was maintained
in the distribution under another version. This can break some systems
trying to run both versions and is still unresolved :(

Anyway, I think this effort could start with a ZOO Launchpad account and
figure the details along the way.

Cheers,
Angelos
