[Qgis-tr] Chinese language

Dear Werner,


Chinese(Taiwan) is commonly refered as Chinese (Traditional).

According to the translation progress on Transifex, progress of Chinese (Simplified) seems similar with Chinese (China), Whereas Chinese (Simplified) is a little bit higher. Chinese (Taiwan) is the only in-progress Chinese (Taiwan), so I suggest to keep this instead of Chinese (Taiwan) (Big5) .

If you want make things simple, I suggest that we can just keep Chinese (Simplified) and create another project called Chinese (Traditional), and move all of our translated strings from Chinese (Taiwan). The reason I suggest to do is because of their ISO code. Chinese (Simplified) is Zh-Hans and Chinese (Traditional) is Zh-Hant. It’s much easier to understand their difference.

Hi and thanks for all replies,

So if I understand correctly and try to sum it up we can:

consolidate:
Chinese (China) and Chinese Simplified to preferably Chinese Simplified
Chinese (Taiwan) and Chinese (Taiwan) (Big5) to Chinese (??)

And there is still a just "Chinese" inside the translations - so
probably one of the upper ones is better consolidated down to
"Chinese" but which one?

I still don't think that we need 5 times Chinese but I lack to be able
to speak or understand it so I really need help on that.

My (rough) guess is that "Chinese" and "Chinese Simplified" should do
it - is that correct?
