Hope you are well - it's been a while since we chatted.

I meant Road as in Route names/numbers, like D-roads, R-etc and not Street names as in municipal. (My bad - I should have been more explicit)
OSM too does not have the detail level I want - see secondary and other roads in the Dibeng area, up to Botswana border, and about 100Km east of Dibeng.
The only ones I have are R31, R372 and R380 and would like route numbers for the larger secondary roads (and not the tiny 'rural/local roads) in this area of the NC.

The naming of streets is a municipal function, so it is quite likely that there is no official data set of street names.  Further, street names are also not dealt with by the South African Geographical Names Council (SAGNC).

So, your best option is something like OSM for aggregated street names, though these are likely to be added on an ad hoc basis, for selected municipalities with motivated OSM contributors and reasonable geospatial data sets available on municipal web sites.

Alternatively, you can try one of the commercial suppliers of address data, but expect to pay a few million for the whole country.

The version I have seems to have the route number added.
