Huh, sorry for the long silence. Looks like my body body finally
understood that the pressure time is over and can get sick for some time :D
Anyway. Thank you all for the comments you sent. I ended up doing a few
changes in the venue-call:
- replace the "how can you accomodate ..." with "what is the upper limit
(if any)" as Luis suggested
- push the deadlines two weeks forward, so proposals in is 22 September
and discussions end around mid-October, venue announcement end of October.
- instead of asking for a full blown N+ page proposal document, a simple
"answer these questions" e-mail to the conference-europe mailinglist
I think Codrina has a fair point that we should not make interested
parties compete with each other but rather we should try to come
together to find common ground, with maybe trying to merge organizing
teams and resources for the effort.
Does that make sense?
