[OSGeo-Conf] Rfp 2020 questions - Sustainability

Hi Till,

Well, the 2nd through last questions all relate to the locale/venue, and
there's nothing much that the LOCs can do about those things, but they
seem like they should be important things for the committee to know
about, hence asking. As a "suggestion" to the LOC, it's not as if they
can improve the city's public transport for instance.

That just leaves the general "have you given any thought to" question;
given there has already been a question asked and answered about
diversity, this question seems entirely in line with that.

As you suggest, it is likely I'll offer further thoughts later in the
process.

I merely thought some questions at this stage about sustainability would
keep the matter on everyone's radar given the IPCC has just said
"/everyone/ needs to change stuff /immediately/ or it's all going to get
bad" - https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-45775309 - where
"everyone" includes, well everyone, and "immediately" means, now.

Cheers,

Jonathan
