Exactly. After you´ve '$ vagrant up' have a look at virtualbox network setup. You will see a second network interface
further check /etc/network/interfaces on your vm. Vagrant did the „hard“ work for you. Of course you can change the ip
to your needs.

I have not tried yet but why? The package should install all which is needed?
