Hi devs
I need to migrate content from our production Geonode 2.4 site to a Geonode 2.10 site.
The procedure described at Backup & Restore GeoNode - Data Migration<http://docs.geonode.org/en/master/tutorials/admin/backup_restore/> requires Geoserver >=2.9, but Geonode 2.4 has Geoserver 2.7.
Simone said<http://osgeo-org.1560.x6.nabble.com/Migrating-data-and-maps-from-Geonode-2-4-to-2-6-td5328012.html#none> it is ok to restore a 2.4 database into a 2.6 one because the data model has no breaking changes.
So do I need to create a Geonode 2.6, restore the data from 2.4 to 2.6, then backup from 2.6 and restore to 2.10?
If so, what's the best way to create a 2.6 site just for this purpose? Seems there's no PPA now so I can't use apt. I'm trying a development install, but running into problems with the paver Geoserver installer.
Jonathan
