Dear Toni, Paulo, and Francesco,
Thank you very much for your reply.
Yes. I have the master version which is configured as
https://github.com/GeoNode/geonode/blob/929265975816af0c08199e47e05f8be3c93f5477/geonode/templates/base.html#L252
.
I got it working now by doing the following:
1 - Changed as in
GEOSERVER_PUBLIC_PORT = os.getenv(
'GEOSERVER_PUBLIC_PORT', '8080'
)
2 - Changed FROM gs to geoserver as in:
_default_public_location =
'http://{}:{}/geoserver/'.format(GEOSERVER_PUBLIC_HOST,
GEOSERVER_PUBLIC_PORT) if GEOSERVER_PUBLIC_PORT else 'http://
{}/geoserver/'.format(GEOSERVER_PUBLIC_HOST)
Could you, @Toni, @Francesco and @Paulo just confirm my conclusion:
conflicting the installation in [1] and [2], there is no need to comment
the lines bellow in local_settings.py.
SITEURL = os.getenv('SITEURL', _default_siteurl)
GEOSERVER_LOCATION = os.getenv(
'GEOSERVER_LOCATION', 'http://localhost:8080/geoserver/'
)
GEOSERVER_PUBLIC_LOCATION = os.getenv(
'GEOSERVER_PUBLIC_LOCATION', _default_public_location
)
[1] says YES, but [2] says nothing about it. I did not comment the lines
and I concluded that [2] prevails.

[2]
http://docs.geonode.org/en/master/tutorials/install_and_admin/geonode_install/create_geonode_db.html
Lastly, I want to mention one issue regarding shapefile data with special
character as in
http://aisweb.decea.gov.br/geoserver/wfs?request=GetFeature&service=WFS&version=1.0.0&typeName=ICA:heliport&outputFormat=SHAPE-ZIP
While uploading this data, I am getting the error which I guess is related
to special character:
File
"/home/geo/Envs/geonode/local/lib/python2.7/site-packages/simplejson/encoder.py",
line 296, in encode
chunks = self.iterencode(o, _one_shot=True)
File
"/home/geo/Envs/geonode/local/lib/python2.7/site-packages/simplejson/encoder.py",
line 378, in iterencode
return _iterencode(o, 0)
UnicodeDecodeError: 'utf8' codec can't decode byte 0xc9 in position 4:
invalid continuation byte
To get heliport layer uploaded, I had to remove the table attributes.
Any comment will very appreciated.
Thank you very much for your time
Kind regards
Julierme
