Hi Alessio,

Thanks for your quick answer. I update django-mapstore-adapter from 1.0.12 to 1.0.17 and django-geonode-mapstore-client from 1.4.6 to 1.4.8 and I dont see a difference, it still takes about 40-45 seconds to load the map. I also tried without any background and there is no difference.

Any other ideas?

Thanks a lot!

Maxime

Dear Maxime,
it could be probably a performance issue of the MapStore client which has been resolved recently. It appeared with the new versions of Google Chrome especially.

Any chance to upgrade the django-mapstore-adapter and geonode-mapstore-client pip dependencies as follows?

pip install django-mapstore-adapter==1.0.17
pip install django-geonode-mapstore-client==1.4.8

P.S.: remember also that OpenStreeMap lowers down your available bandwidth in case too much requests are issues from the same IP address. Try maybe with different backgrounds.

Regards,
Alessio.

Good day GeoNode users,

I am running GeoNode project 2.10.1 on an Ubuntu 18.04 machine. GeoServer is installed on a different machine on the same server. Everything is working well. However, I am having performance issues with the display of data in MapStore when the layers are tiled. For example, I have a map that contains 15 layers. This map takes about 40 seconds to load when the layers are tiled and takes less than 5 seconds to load when the single tile option is activated. Cache creation is enabled and seems to work (tiles are saved in my gwc directory).

I always thought that using tiles would improve the speed of layer display but this is not the case on my installation.

Do you have any recommendations to improve the performance of my GeoServer installation?

Thanks a lot!

Maxime
