R: [GRASS-windows] WinGRASS and MSYS Hanging - Need help for student

He is opening GRASS from MSYS using the MSYS shortcut in the GRASS program
group in the start menu. On my system, this opens a black window with a
command prompt.
The problem the student is having is that the command prompt is not showing
up. I am not referring to the GRASS command prompt, but the MSYS command
prompt. All that appears is a cursor. For the output window, he is using the
Run button.
