Hi,
I am have a small business that helps Retail clients determine the potential
of their trade area and I would like to move the information from paper
to Google maps. Ideally they could click on polygons (postcodes or Census
districts) to build their trade area and the underlying data would be
summated.
As google is advancing so quickly do you have any suggestions on the
packages I should use to generate the KML for google maps/earth? I am
familiar with HTML and some UNIX but have not used java or PHP and was
wondering if it is better to go opensouce (ie mapguide opensource) or use
the prepackage Manifold. Manifold looks like the easier option but I am
concerned it may not be able to keep up with Google maps developments.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
All the best
Alan
