[mapserver-dev] MS RFC 69: Support for clustering of features in point layers

Dear PSC,

MS RFC 69 <http://mapserver.org/development/rfc/ms-rfc-69.html> contains the
clustering part of the implementation taken out of RFC-68. This
functionality is being implemented as a new layer data provider, but I
intend to use that in such way which doesn't require to introduce a new
connection type (called as single layer approach). However the
implementation will support to compile this as a standalone provider as well
(ie a plugin) in which this cluster layer is configured as a separate layer
in addition to the source layer (called as multiple layer approach).
The corresponfing
ticket <http://trac.osgeo.org/mapserver/ticket/3700> contains a mostly
working implementation, see

the details.
