You need to make sure that (a) the spatial extents of the image =
displayed are the same in both cases and (b) the physical dimensions of =
the image in pixels are the same in both cases.
=20
You don't mention the spatial resolution of your image, but here's an =
example. You can check your WLD file to see the X and Y sizes of a =
pixel. Let's assume they're both 3 meters; in that case you need to be =
sure the EXTENT of the image in meters is 3 times the number of pixels =
displayed in each dimension.
=20
If you need more info it would help to post your MAP and WLD files.

Subject: [Mapserver-users] .tiff resolution

I'd like a 72dpi .tiff to be displayed as accurately in MapServer as it =
is Photoshop. This .tiff is a product of ArcMap. I took a .shp and =
exported it to a map (.tiff, 72dpi). Before I did this I set the =
extents manually. I used these extents to fill in my MapServer extents. =
A .wld was also a product of the ArcMap .tiff translation. So I =
carried that over to my data directory along w/ the .tiff.
=20
So I've ended up w/ a .tiff and a .wld, but I must be missing something =
since it really doesn't look as clean from w/i MapServer as I think a =
72dpi image should. What can I adjust?
=20
The MapServer width and height are in proportion to the extents, and I'm =
working exclusively under MapLab. I haven't hardcoded anything under =
the min/max scale (mostly because I don't have a firm grasp on what that =
is actually doing).
=20
Any help would greatly be appreciated.
