[Mapserver-users] Save view as shapefile

With PostGIS & MapScript I've done exactly that, with clipping and all,
using the bounding boxes and truly_inside() PostGIS function.

That works only for vectors, though. For images i guess you'd have to
use the language of choice GD features to cut the appropriate extent 
of the image...
