[MOSS-archives] MOSS at FORCE2021

Hello Peter,
you can count on me.

We could use EGU materials as a starting point. Only we must take into
account a difference in auditory – if EGU one is aware of GIS and some
might even have heard of MOSS, participants of this conference most
likely have no clue. Good thing is the name itself (MOSS) as it
explains what it is about, but that's not enough. I'm suggesting to
mention predecessors – commercial software from ESRI –, and its
successors as QGIS, Google Earth, as people might be more familiar
with these.

Let me know how can I contribute to the presentation materials,
Māris.

Down at the bottom of the MOSS landing page(https://zenodo.org/record/5140319#.YZu0YWDMIuU) you'll notice a counter for citations, which so far reports _zero_ citations. This citation count is not set manually but is based on automated data harvesting (in DOI-based repositories such as Zenodo). Once the MOSS project DOI is included in the FORCE 2021 poster and the poster is uploaded to Zeneodo, the citation counter for the MOSS project should "jump" to one (ka-ching!).

> What is FORCE2021 about:
> The FORCE11 annual conference brings together a wide variety of stakeholders in the scholarly communication ecosystem for open discussions, on an even playing field, about collaboration and cross-training that will move the needle on how scholarly and scientific information is communicated, shared and used. Researchers, publishers, librarians, computer scientists, informaticians, funders, educators, students, citizens, and others attend the FORCE11 meeting with a view to supporting the realisation of promising new ideas and identifying new potential collaborators.
