[postgis-users] Which SRID to choose?

and it seems that I've stumbled across a similar problem.

Munich's Gauss-Krueger koordinates are told to be in EPSG:31468.
I can find this code in proj-4.4.7's /usr/share/proj/epsg file, but not
in the spatial_ref_sys table of postgis-0.8.1.

If the latter is deduced from the first, might it be possible to include
the conversion file additionally to or instead of
spatial_ref_sys.sql?

Please, could one of the developers shed light on this issue?
